IT programmers use the Activity Manager and Administration Console to configure the e1Tech BAM solution. Using a graphical user interface, developers can specify the data sources and applications to monitor as well as the base line business views to be modeled by the system. The development environment is SQL 99 compliant, so developers familiar with SQL will be immediately familiar with the e1Tech BAM environment.

If developers prefer, they can use the optional XSD/XML to build the system objects outside of the e1Tech BAM environment. Where appropriate, developers can also use the e1Tech BAM SDK of public Java APIs to build the objects.
